The Honda CBR250RR has a speedo indicated top speed of 179 km/h, reports Otomotifnet, while the true speed via their V-box was found to be 167.4 km/h.The CBR250RR is the first product in the segment to get throttle by wire and three riding modes. This test was done is the Sport+ mode. An interesting point to be noted here is that the top speed was achieved at around 12,500 rpm. The rev limiter of the motorcycle is placed at around 14,000 rpm mark.
The quarter-litre pocket rocket now has an increased output figure of 38.7 PS of power and 23.3 Nm of torque. The bike gets a largest in class 310 mm front disc, whereas the rear gets a 240 mm disc. ABS is available as an option. On a dyno test by the same media house, the Honda CBR250RR in the Sport+ mode recorded an output of 31.06 PS and 19.16 Nm at the rear wheel, post the effect of transmission losses.The Honda CBR250RR will not be heading to India as earlier confirmed by HMSI.
